Gympie is a town that is situated in the south eastern part of Queensland State in Australia. It is an important part of the Gympie Regional Council. It is situated at a distance of 160 km from the city of Brisbane. As measured in the 2000 census the population in the town was summed up to be around 16.454. But the population has always shown a steady rise every year. This town has very scarce water sources as most of its part is land. The name of this town is refers to the 'Gympie Tree'. The religion that is predominant here is Christianity but this town also has people of other religions like Islam, Jewish, etc. the climate here is very normal and there are no extremities. The countryside of this place is full of curves, bridges and gradients. It is also well known for its country music. This place has many important events and leisure resorts that can be used for tourism. This city also hosts film festivals which are very famous.
