Magnetic Island being a holiday location attracts international and domestic tourists alike. Tourists can reach the island via car or passenger ferry. The island is well-known for its angling privileges. Sailfish, Wahoo, Giant Trevally, Mackerel, Coral Trout, Tuna and Red Emperor are the most commonly seen fishes in the island. Bush stone-curlews, ground-dwelling large birds are the most attractive features of the island.
