The greatest attraction is the Noosa National Park which is home to a variety of landscapes, plants and animals. It provides protection to several endangered species of animals like koalas, glossy black cockatoos and many others. Other important national parks are Cooloola National Park, Glass House Mountain National Park and Mapleton Falls National Park.
Situated on Sunshine Coast, Main Beach is one of the most visited beaches on the Australian coastline and is extremely safe for swimming. Next to Main Beach is Sunrise Beach which is the safest beach for surfing in Noosa. Other good beaches for surfing are Tea Tree Bay, Granite Bay and Alexandria Bay.
Art lovers will not be disappointed as there are a number of art galleries in Noosa. The most important ones are David Hart Galleries, Frances Reilly Gallery and the Noosa Regional Gallery which is a renowned public art gallery. The main themes of the exhibitions are art and environment.
