Rockhampton is fantastic place to tour and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There are a lot of attractions, turning points, wildlife and nature to visit. The city provides bull rides, go-karting, sky-diving, paintball, diving and caving. The Rockhampton Art Gallery consists of works mainly of Australian artists. The Rockhampton Botanic Gardens has excellent samples of palms, cycads which are over 100 years old. The Rockhampton Zoo has animals and birds such as Chimpanzees, Koalas, Freshwater Crocodiles, Saltwater Crocodiles, Red Kangaroos and the rare Cassowary. Kershaw Gardens, Dreamtime Cultural Centre, Archer Park Steam Tram Museum, Mt Archer National Park, Rockhampton Heritage Village are some of the important tourist spots suggested.
Rockhampton is a town that has eight major shopping centers. Some of them are Allenstown Plaza, East Street Mall, North side Plaza. City centre Plaza, Kmart Plaza, and Red Hill Homemaker Centre.
