Terri Irwin, i.e. Steve Irwin’s widow owns Australia Zoo. Steve’s documentary series with respect to wildlife, i.e. ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ went on to make this zoo a reputable tourist destination. Even though best known with regards to crocodiles along with ‘live crocodile feedings’, this zoo has been in to discussion due to exhibits of the other wildlife of Australia; inclusive of snakes, Tasmanian devils, wombats, and koalas. Galapagos tortoise, better known as ‘Harriet’, was the oldest living ‘chelonian’ across the globe was also found here. She passed away when she was 176 on 23rd of June, 2006. The other animals found include Komodo Dragons, cheetahs, tigers, and elephants.
