There are a number of ports to get into these islands but a tourist can enter them through the Prosperine airport which is the nearest one. The major attraction is the Whitehaven beach which is a 5 km stretch of clean fine sand and is a major crowd puller. This beach makes the frontpages of most tourist magazines and is also used for T.V commercials. The Hamilton islands are another noteworthy feature of this part of land as they are the most developed part as it holds some of the most valuable property in the entire of Australia. Another good spot is the Dent Islands which is owned by the central government and is famous for its golfing activities. For leisure activities, the Daydream Islands are considered to be the most effective as it provides a wide range of hotels and resorts.
