If visiting Adelaide in the summer light clothing is essential as it is quite warm. A jumper is necessary for evenings as they are cooler.
Open toed sandals or floaters are fine for summer but in winter, boots are required. Clothing offering wind protection is essential in winter too.
Sunscreen is required in both winter and summer as the UV level is quite high in Australia. Good sunglasses with one hundred percent UV and glare protection are recommended as the sun can be strong. It is also advisable to wear a hat.
Keep Insect repellent to hand as it is frequently required. An umbrella is also recommended for unexpected rain showers.
Make sure you are carrying a clean pair of shoes when travelling as heavily soiled shoes are not allowed when crossing custom areas in Australian airports.
