The National Wine Centre of Australia commonly known as "Wine Centre" is an exhibition about winemaking introducing visitors to the technology, varieties and styles of wine. It also has a wine tasting area, wherein visitors have the opportunity to taste and compare wines with the other areas. The building is designed in such a way so as to publish items used in making wine. The exterior part of the building looks like a wine barrel. After a number of problems regarding funds, management and profit the Wine Centre operation was taken over by the University of Adelaide in 2003.
