The city of Mount Gambier is a large and very popular city in the state of South Australia. The capital of the state, Adelaide is found towards the north of the city and this city is to the west of the well-developed Melbourne. It ranks as the second populous city in the state after Adelaide. The ‘Baundig’ people were the original inhabitants of this place, which now consists mostly of Christians. This town has an area of 26.7 sq. kilometers of space. The recent developments of this place have led to the rise in the population here and it is estimated to be around 23,494 according to the 2006 census. The temperature here is very enjoyable and not at all harsh. The maximum mean temperature is around 19.2 degrees whereas the minimum never drops below 8.1 degrees. There is adequate rainfall around here and is around 703.5 mm if measured on an average.
