This park obtained recognition on the official level in the year 1994; thanks to its extensive record in terms of fossils which led it to be listed on ‘World Heritage’ site. Naracoorte Caves National Park goes on to preserve 6 sq. Km of ‘remnant vegetation’, with twenty-six caves housed in 3.05 sq. Km of ‘World Heritage Area’.
The above-mentioned park contains a caravan park and camping ground; apart from dormitory accommodation especially for groups, with licensed café, and picnic grounds. The visitors can go for loads of activities. Tour to this tourist destination is found to be guided by various professional interpreters. Modern technology is being put in to practice for showing visitors normally inaccessible ‘interior of Bat Cave’. This is the place where millions of bats breed every year.
