When to visit
The climate in South Australia ranges from temperate coastal Mediterranean to desert extremes. The best time to visit this beautiful place is in spring and autumn, especially to visit Adelaide. Adelaide has the least rainfall with domineering midday summer heat. The summer heat can be extreme sometimes, especially from October to April, which becomes unbearable too to visit this place. The Outback winters are warm and pleasant. One can opt for boating on the Lake Alexandrina and the Murray River from October to March, when the place experiences long evenings covered in soft light. Those who love the beach and the ocean can come from December to March, as this is the warmest time. One can experience a Mediterranean climate of dry summers and cool winters in South Australia, with rainfall between the months of May and August.
