Whyalla: Attractions and more...
The city is known for its famous history. The city has gained the name after the name of HMAS Whyalla, which is a ship. In the Second World War between two corvettes this ship was built up. After the war the name of the ship was given to the city and it became known as Whyalla. From the year 1987 this ship was closed for operation in the land area and every year lots of visitors visited this place. Maritime Museum it is the biggest museum in the city, which encloses this ship.
Whyalla is surrounded by Point Lowly and Black Point which is known by international divers. Conservation Park is the naturally semi-arid of the environment which is a good example of beautiful nature. Hummock it is the hilly area which showing an admirable views of the entire town. Every year the city people hold a competition of Snapper Fishing, which is the annual competition of the city. This town is home to Primary schools and Secondary Colleges. For transportation the city has been served by an Airport, and a Regional Express along with tramway.
