The city of Launceston is located in the northern side of the state of Tasmania and is also surrounded by the junction of the rivers North Esk, South Esk and the Tamar river. The river Tamar takes its formation after getting merged with the North and South Esk river. It goes on to border in between the towns Demon and Cornwall which is in close proximity to Launceston.
