The Port Arthur’s Dockyard is a nice place to visit and was one of the busiest and also the most productive dockyards on the Van Diemens Land. This eventually turned out hundreds of crafts of various shapes and sizes ranging from ship’s’ buoys and whaleboats to brigantines and barques for the government as well as private markets.
Harbour Cruise
Tourists can enjoy a 20 minute cruise on board with the luxury catamaran MV Marana. This guided cruise provides an enjoyable experience of a unique interpretation which includes a look into the ship building at the Port Arthur, the Isle of the Dead, the boy’s prison of Point Puer and a beautiful coastline which is incomparable.
