Touchwood

Touchwood is reputed for its afternoon tea and lunch. There is also a wide range of light meals and snacks. There are also three onsite bed and breakfast cottages and a gallery of good quality Tasmanian crafts.

The Nut

The Nut is an ancient volcanic plug. In 1798, it was discovered by the explorers Flinders and Bass who officially called it as Circular Head. It has steep sides and a flat top and an altitude of 143 meters. There is a steep track; visitors can reach the peak of the Nut by this track.. Alternatively, the Nut Chairlift can be used to reach the top.

Village Shops

Along the main street, there are a number of colonial shops that offer several products like provisions, confectionery and crafts.

Tatlows Beach

Tatlows Beach is the place for secure family swimming. It is a very shallow beach that has clean water and sand. During low tide, one can view a plethora of small crabs that come out of the sand.

Stanley Golf Club

A clubhouse and 9 hole golf course are situated in the Stanley Golf Club.

Joseph Lyons Cottage

The singular Tasmanian Prime Minister of Australia was Joseph Lyons. He was born in the Joseph Lyons cottage, which is very tiny, in 1879. Before he ventured into politics, he worked as a teacher.

Stanley Seaquarium

The Stanley Seaquarium is situated at the Mariner. There are a number of displays varying from rock pools to shark tanks where a wide range of sealife can be seen.
