When to visit
Tasmania is a relaxing island experiencing four seasons, each season having its own unique appeal and beauty to it. The summers (December, January and February) are the time of festivals, in cities like Launceston, Hobart and others, whereas autumn (March, April and May) is calm, sunny and even the best time to sample the fresh Tasmanian produce at events like the Taste of the Huon and Agfest. In June, one can join the locals to celebrate the festival of the Longest Night Film Festival other than the Antarctica Mid-Winter Festival. In July, the Hobart’s Festival of the Voices or the Chocolate Winterfest attracts any tourists like a magnet. The winter season (June, July and August) is the time when one can relax indoors, take a walk or sit and have a delicious Tasmanian meal. The season of cool, fresh green countryside is spring (September, October and November), when the sweet essence of gardens in bloom and the bite of the fish on a lure catches the eye of any tourist.
