The Ballarat Wildlife Park is 32 acres of woodland and is a collection of Australian native animals and reptiles that were chosen for their conservation and educational potential. The reptile collection is considered as one of the largest private collections in Australia and has over 400 individual animals of native and exotic origins. This park is near the Sovereign Hill and is the only regional zoo of its kind on such a large scale.
