Barnawartha is a small town that is located on the Hume highway to the north east of Victoria in Australia.
The town was first established by Gustav and Baumgarten who were the large owners in Barnawartha before the settlement. The town was incorporated in the year 1860 with the opening of the post office on 1 August 1860. The town has many historic sites that takes one back to the olden days. Although the some of the buildings are rebuilt and constructed once more as they were burnt.
This place has a good foot ball team that competes with Tallanga & District Football league. Barnawartha also has many recreation parks that make the tourists comes
to this place once more. Visiting Barnawartha is worth of money too.
The climate is quite comfortable and can be visited throughout the year.
