Barwon Heads is located on the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong in Victoria. It is situated at the mouth of Barwon River below Lake Conneware.
Barwon Heads came into existence in the year 1870 with fishing as the earning revenue of the place. During the period of 1920s and 1930s the town became popular holiday resort with number of rich families having build houses there. Barwon Heads was also famous for filming popular Australian television series named as SeaChange. Colloquially it was known as seachange effect.
