Falls Creek is situated about 350 kilometers from Melbourne and 30 kilometers apart from the town of Mount Beauty. It is a car-free, ski resort in north-eastern Victoria in Australia. It is in the Alpine National Park, which is in close proximity from Mount Beauty town. This area has an altitude of 1,210 to 1,830 meters, with a highest point of 1780 meters. Falls creek’s snow is considered as one of the best one in Australia. Here, skiing is possible on Mount McKay peak, which is at 1,842 meters in height. Transportation to this place from the resort can be done with a snowcat. It has the largest ski resort in the state of Victoria. It is placed over 450 hectares of area with 100 hectares of snowmaking area. Falls Creek is considered as an ideal place to get, make and preserve good quality of snow. The resort here has a capability of holding 4,500 accommodation beds with extra large restaurants and nightclubs. There are many privately owned apartments, which are all available for hire when they are not occupied.
