Horsham can be described as a city located in Australia’s Wimmera region.
At present, Horsham is held by ‘National party’. Moreover, it happens to be the most ‘conservative seat all over the country.
In the year 2001, Australia carved a niche for itself by having won the award of being ‘Australia’s Tidiest Town’; in spite of 10-year drought that has been affecting this area.
Horsham is situated in ‘Rural City of Horsham local government area’.
The city of Horsham had been surveyed as well as settled in late 1840s. Charles Carter and Monckton were amongst the 1st settlers.
Post Office got opened in the year 1848 in the month of July.
In the year 1879, main railway reached Horsham from Melbourne. It was later on extended to a place called ‘Adelaide’.
Fitness and sports are properly supported all over Horsham. Population as per 2006 census was 14125.
