The Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens which is commonly known by the name Melbourne Zoo has over 320 animal species from Australia and from across the globe. This is 4 kilometers zoo situated to the north of the center of Melbourne. The entire land area is 55 acres, with 5,120 animals staying here. Opened in 1862 on 6th of October, the zoo is the oldest zoo in Australia. The major exhibits include Elephants, Tigers, Gorillas, Lions and Orangutans.
