Federation Square is a civic center as well as a cultural precinct in Melbourne city in Victoria. This is a mixed use development that covers an area of about 3.2 hectares and is centered on two major public spaces, one is Open Square and another is covered and built atop a concrete deck over railway lines. Opened in 2002, the square is the most famous tourist attraction in the city attracting around 8.41 million visitors each year. Few of the cultural activities carried out here include Melbourne Visitor Center, BMW Edge Amphitheater, National Gallery of Victoria and many more.
