Mildura is located in the Sunraysia region in Northwest Victoria in Australia. It was established in 1887. The city is otherwise known as Victoria’s food Bowl as it is a chief producer of wine and citrus fruits. The locality is noteworthy for its grape production. It is the major supplier of wineries in Victoria. Mildura is situated near the Murray River. As per the 2006 census, nearly 82.8% of the residents of Mildura were born in Australia. Most of the people speak English. The overseas people include inhabitants of Italy, New Zealand, England, Greece and Turkey. The census record was 30016. As the city is located just 50 metres above sea level, it enjoys a warm climate. The temperature ranges between 4 °C and 32 °C. Rainfall of the city is recorded at 290 mm a year. One of the most famous festivals of Mildura is the Mildura Country Music Festival, the Jazz & Wine Festival and International Balloon Fiesta.
