Moe, a city in the Gippsland province of Victoria, Australia, is administered by the city of Latrobe council. Moe, which has a population of about 17,981, is around 134 Km east of Melbourne. Moe is a stopover and a navigational point for tourists on the way to Mt. Baw Baw, the Walhalla Goldfields Railway and Erica. Moe is also home to the locally produced indigenous Aboriginal/Koorie art, Moe Jazz Festival in March, the annual Moe cup horse races and the local football finals in the Mid Gippsland Football League and the West Gippsland Latrobe Football League. Moe has a wide and varied range of sporting facilities. Moe is serviced by numerous primary schools and two high schools that include the Lavalla Catholic College and Lowanna Secondary College.
