Sunbury is a satellite city and is situated to the north west of Melbourne in the state of Victoria in Australia.
Sunbury was first inhabited in the year 1836 by George Evans and William Jackson. The city was named by Jackson and his brother Samuel after Sunbury-on Thames in Surrey England.
Sunbury has connection with development of Victoria is quiet important and crucial because of the powerful citizen Big Clarke. He was biggest squatters in the colony with his power and position in the Victorian Legislative Council was critical in the early days of Victoria.

Sunbury was also famous for the Sunbury Pop festival that used to hold from 1972 to 1975.
