Traralgon can be described as one of the regional cities situated in Latrobe Valley; within Gippsland area of ‘Victoria, Australia’. This place is better known as town of ‘City of Latrobe’.
Origin of the name ‘Traralgon’ has still been unknown. It’s popularly believed of being derived from the words pertaining to Gunai language: ‘tarra-river’ and ‘algon-little fish’. These words are, however, not at all reflected in contemporary linguists’ knowledge with regards to Gunai language.
In spite of massive development, Traralgon has managed to retain historic architecture on its part. This can be evident from Courthouse and Post Office which had been erected in the year 1886; along with Ryans Hotel that had been constructed in the year 1914. These structures are located in ‘Franklin Street’.
Television networks like Seven, Nine, Ten (Melbourne based) get re-broadcasted at this place.
