Tourist Guide Walhalla
Walhalla is a small township in Australia and is famous for the gold-mining community which was founded in 1863. More than 2500 people reside here; however, presently there are less than twenty permanent residents in the town. Wallaha is a town which attracts tourists and is a central attraction of the local tourism industry. The town is situated in the south-eastern part of Australia and in the eastern part of Victoria. The area is 180 km away from Melbourne, the state capital. It is situated in the Great Dividing Range and the area enclosing Walhalla is noted for its historical importance. The Baw Baw National Park is situated near this town. The Long Tunnel Extended Gold mine in Walhalla is possessed by the Victorian Government and it is run by the Walhalla Crown Reserves Board of Management. Daily tours are conducted by taking visitors 300 metres into the subversive machinery chamber which is very huge.
