Walhalla is famous for its historical importance. The Freemason’s Lodge which was originally a Wesleyan church is regarded as one of the oldest buildings in Walhalla. Some of the other structures are attractive Victorian band rotunda, three shops, Spett’s Cottage built in 1871 and the Stone cottage. The National Trust classified post and telegraph offices are located in Main St, and have been reinstated so as to perform the postal services.
