Warracknabeal is situated in the middle of the wheat-belt of Victoria and it is a rich country township. This town is the largest entertaining spots in Victoria. The latest variedness has resulted in the farming of peas, lupins, beans and canola and the organization of ostrich, deer farms and emu. Warracknabeal is located on the Henty Highway. The town is situated at a height of 113 metres above the level of sea and is placed 331 km towards the north-west of Melbourne. The place was taken by the Wotjobaluk Aborigines earlier to the settlement of the White. Andrew Scott and Squatters Robert launched a cropping run on either side of the Yarriambiack Creek. The provision of the railway arrived in this town in the year 1885 and in 1891, the town developed into a municipality. The yield in wheat started developing due to better water supply and resulted in the setting up of a flour mill in 1894. An agricultural show is held annually.
