Albany Convict Gaol

Erected in 1852, for the purpose of housing the Imperial convicts shipped to the country, to work as skilled laborers. It is a chief centre, with historic presentations of the region that includes interesting facts like the relics and artifacts of the Aborigines. It is open to the tourists, from 10.30 in the morning to 4.30 in the evening. Special night tours are arranged on Fridays and Saturdays.

Albany Wind Farm

The wind farm is open throughout the year, here you will find 12 1800 kW wind turbines, which supply, a large percentage of voltage for Albany’s electrical equipments. Here you will find panels with profound statements, which you will admire. Admission is free of cost.

Residency Museum

Erected in 1850s as a store, later was converted by the Government as a Government Residency for a period from 1873-1953. It is open Monday through Saturday, morning 10 to evening 5. The major attraction here is the jaws of a white pointer shark and the huge rotating lens from the old Eclipse Lighthouse.
