The HMAS Swan Dive Wreck is a popular draw for scuba divers and snorkelers, while Margaret River offers exciting opportunities for surfing and family fun. Observe the dinosaur fossils at Broome (on the west Kimberly coast), step into the enticing Ningaloo Reefs or swim with bottle-nosed dolphins at the extremely-popular Monkey Mia outside the heritage town of Denham. Don’t forget to visit Mount Augustus, the largest rock in the world.
One of the most-awaited events on the calendar is the Perth Festival, the oldest international multi-arts event in the hemisphere. The four-day Nannup Music Festival starts in early March and features a range of musical performances. Also be a part of events like the Kings Park Wildflower Festival (Australia’s largest flower festival) in October and the Australia Day Skyworks on 26 January.
