Bunbury, a port city, can be referred to as the 3rd biggest city located in ‘Western Australia’; after ‘Mandurah’ and capital city, i.e. Perth.
Bunbury lies at a distance of 109 miles on the southern side of CBD, i.e. central business district of Perth. As such, it stands adjoining mouth of ‘Collie River’ at Laschenault Inlet’s southern end; which goes on to open towards Geographe Bay and Koombana Bay which further extend towards the south in to Cape Naturaliste. Timber and farming industries in the south-western area get connected through a broad rail network. Bunbury holds the credit of being birthplace of explorer and first premier John Forrest of Western Australia.
Bunbury is said to have sister-city associations with Jiaxing (China), and Setagaya (Japan). In the year 2007, this place had obtained recognition of being the quickest growing city of Australia by ABS, i.e. Australian Bureau of Statistics.
The population of Bunbury has been estimated to be 32499.
