Nadi: Attractions and more...
Nadi is an important religious centre for both Hinduism and Islam. Its Sri Siva Subramaniya temple is the largest temple in the Southern hemisphere. There are also two beautiful mosques—the Nadi Mosque and the Ahmadiya Mosque.
The centre of Nadi Town, the location of several restaurants, hotels and markets, is located a mile inland from the coast. The beaches in Wailoloa and New Town are said to be havens for sunbathers and swimmers.
Most visitors typically use Nadi as a base from which to visit other popular destinations in the area. The gorgeous Mamanuca and Yasawa Island groups are only a short boat ride away. There are mountains and a wide expanse of rural countryside on Nadi’s outskirts; tourists looking for short day trips frequent these places.
A particularly popular destination is the Koroyanitu National Park, located half an hour’s drive north of Nadi. This naturally stunning park offers accommodation, trails and guided treks.
