Taveuni is host to a wide array of accommodation to suit every need and budget. Bibi’s Hideaway is a popular destination for backpackers, with expansive grounds host to several varieties of fruit trees as well as a nearby beach. A little known backpacker gem is the Little Dolphin, near the BhulaBhai store.
Those looking for mid-range accommodation have a plethora of choices to select from—Todranisaga, Makaira, Maravu and the Taveuni Island Resort are all reasonably priced hotels.
Popular eateries on Taveuni include the Vuniboki Restaurant at Tovutovu Resort, located near the airstrip in Matei; Waci Poki in the port of Waiyevo and Audrey Brown’s bakery near the BhulaBhai store.
There are a wide range of activities to choose from, including the Meridian Theatre, located on the 180th Meridian, the International Date Line. The Warrior Burial Cave is a 350-metre-long cave created by a lava tube and is quite spectacular.
