Try out the interesting Monoi Oils which are natural skin products made from oils extracted from the fruit and flowers of the Tiare. Checkout the works of art, which generally depicting water, nature and people, of some local French and Polynesian artists. Intricate carvings on stone and others made out of precious native wood can be good buys. The only means of public transportation on Bora Bora is the Le Truck, a local bus, that goes halfway around the island. Renting bicycles and mopeds is very common. Take a guided snorkelling tour and you will not be disappointed by the magical marine life you see. Imagine swimming with the sharks and rays, which is possible, if you visit the Lagoonarium, the large outdoor aquarium with a lot of species of marine life from the lagoons is on view. Underwater cameras are widely available, if you have not brought yours along. Buy one to use when you go swimming inside the Lagoonarium, there are lots of breath-taking sights to capture.
