This tropical village has a host of adventures and sights for tourists. The Pacific National Historical Park, which was established in 1978, honours those who fought for the Liberation of Guam.
Another historical site is the Talifak Bridge; built in 1785, this bridge stands as a fine example of the stonework and craftsmanship.
Diving along the beautiful coral reefs provides a glimpse into the diverse tropical sea life as well as several World War II wrecks. Sailing is another popular activity among tourists. Dolphin watching, fishing and golf are among the other favourites.
With plenty of nightlife, traditional cuisine and festivals galore, Agat offers its tourists a variety of opportunities and entertainment.
Liberation Day, celebrated on 21 July every year, commemorates the day when the American forces recaptured the island from the Japanese during World War II. It is celebrated with much fanfare and festivities.
