Scottish heritage

Dunedin, the oldest city in New Zealand, possesses a harmonious blend of cultural heritage, fine architecture and renowned wildlife reserves on the Otago Peninsula. The city’s lush green forests, awesome landscapes and pleasant climate make it a perfect holiday retreat.

Dunedin, the city of Scottish heritage, offers a wide range of attractions, arts and crafts, restaurants and cruises. The towering cathedral spires, the highly developed railway station and the age-old castles are excellent examples of Dunedin’s rich architectural heritage.

The Otago Peninsula situated within the city boundaries features world famous wildlife reserves, including the Yellow-Eyed and Little Blue Penguin colonies and a breeding ground for the endangered Albatross.  Off high cliff Road, as you drive onto the Otago Peninsula, is the Rotary Park which offers excellent view of the city and the surrounding hills. To the north of the city is the Mount Cargill dominated by three prominent peaks and flanked by two walkways. Mount Cargill provides a spectacular view of the Otago coastline, peninsula and the harbor.
