Be careful of shark attacks

If you intend to surf in Dunedin’s St Clair beach you should be particularly careful of shark attacks. There are many cases in the past when surfers have lost their arms and legs to sharks despite the shark nets.
Before you plan for a skiing or hiking adventure in the mountains make sure that you are informed about the weather forecast and the avalanche risk level.
