Hamilton Zoo is the most important zoological garden of the city. The park features a Parrot Court, Free Flight Sanctuary, Reptile House, Chimpanzee Exhibit, Sumatran Tiger Exhibit, Waikato Wetlands and African Animals. This park or garden was found in the year 1969. The zoo has a collection several beautiful birds. It is said that the park has around 200 distinct species of birds.
