Masterton can be described as a town located in Wellington area of New Zealand. This place is, in fact, the biggest town within Wairarapa, i.e. one of the geographical regions which has been separated by Rimutaka ranges from ‘metropolitan ‘Wellington’.
Masterton lies at the distance of 28 Km on the southern side of Eketahuna. Moreover, it stands along the banks of Ruamahanga River.
Masterton is said to have a ‘mild temperate’ climate. Owing to geography on the part of Wairarapa valley; along with Taurarua range on the western side, temperature of the town happens to fluctuate more in comparison with inland city; which is in the vicinity.
