Since the year 1997, the city of Tokoroa has been churning out ‘Talking Poles’; which basically consist of carvings that go on to represent ethnic culture, industry, and recreation and sport in this town. One of them is chainsaw carving with respect to deodar cedar that passed away out of natural causes. It represents Greenman in ‘Welsh Mythology’. Also, it’s located on SH1, i.e. State Highway One; adjoining information center of town.
