The main attractions are especially for divers and lie directly offshore: the Chimney, Opaahi and Faka Laina.
Inside the city is quite interesting the Fale Fono (Parlament Buildings), that contains a charming display of ancient tapa (bark) cloth.
Other attractions in Alofi include the Huanaki Cultural Centre and the Ekalesia Church on Tomb Point.
