Koror: Attractions and more...
Koror has wonderful views of the islands, Japanese stone lanterns and the only
Shinto Shrine outside Japan, a reminder of Japanese occupation during the war.
The Belau National Museum, founded in 1955, is a great place to deepen the tourists
knowledge on the nation's culture and history.
It is packed with exhibits ranging from the mounted head of a 5m crocodile,
to Palauan bead and shell money and, on special occasions, traditional dances
on the museum’s grass performed by young Palauan women dressed in characteristic
grass skirts, can be admired.
Many are Palau's clubs on the commercial island suburb of Malakal, open all
night long!.
