Jorge Newbery Airpark, also known locally as Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, is situated about two-km NE of the centre of Buenos Aires city.
It covers around 341-acres of land and is operated byAeropuertos Argentina 2000 S.A. It is named after Jorge Newbery, who was an Argentinean aviator.
It serves as a main airport for all the domestic flights in Buenos Aires and allows flights only from Uruguayan and Argentine companies.
The presidential aircraft, Tango 01, takes off from a military airport, El Palomar, and authorities board the plane in the military sector.
The airport provides most standard facilities, including a Tourist information centre. Major domestic airlines include Aerolíneas Argentinas / Austral Líneas Aéreas, LAN Argentina, Andes Líneas Aéreas, PLUNA and LADE Líneas Aéreas del Estado.
