Tourist Guide Los Antiguos
Los Antiguos is located in Santa Cruz province in the southern region of Argentina. This village with a population of approximately 1,500 inhabitants is nestled in a valley along the snow-covered peaks of the Andes Mountains.
The climate of Los Antiguos is much milder compared to the surrounding area. During summers, the average temperature is 13°C, sometimes rising as high as 20°C. There are several days of snow and frost during winter.
Los Antiguos is along the Lake Buenos Aires part of which falls within the boundaries of Chile.
Initially, the economy of the region was dependent on the trading of minerals to Chile, but, in the last 50 years, it has developed into an agrarian community with increased cultivation of fruit and vegetables.
