Resistencia city is the capital of the province of Chaco and lies in the northeast sector of Argentina. It is 8 km from the port of Barranqueras and 10 km from Puerto Vilela, which forms a single urban conglomeration. Tourists can access this region of the country by plane or by land through National Route No. 11. The city has an altitude of 50 meters. The climate of Resistencia is extreme at both ends. Summer has temperatures ranging between 21 º and 33 º C and winter with minimum 10 and maximum 22 º C. Rainfall is available in abundance throughout the year. Popularly known as the "City of Sculptures" for holding more than a hundred figures outdoors, Resistance has modern layouts with tree-lined plazas and dynamic tours. The rich presence of mural artists of Argentines is the centre of attraction of this place. This site combines the excellent architecture of the early twentieth century with the exuberant nature, which is unique in the region.
