Rosario is situated on the Western shore of the Parana River and 300 kilometers towards the north of Buenos Aires.
It is encircled by small towns and cities and this metropolitan region is called as the Greater Rosario.
This metropolis has a population of about 1.2 million while that of the Rosario is 0.91 million. There is a Pampean temperate climate in this region. Winter is from June to mid-August and summer is from November to March. The humidity is high in the region throughout the year.
The culture of this place is affected by immigrants from Eastern Europe, Spain and Italy. These people have retained their traditions of speech, dancing, drink and food.
