Santa Fe is a city situated near the meeting point of Parana and Salado Rivers in the province of Santa Fe. The city is connected with the port of Colastine of the Parana River by canal. This city has a total area of 748 km2 and is the main centre of commercial and agricultural importance producing vegetable oils, meats and grains. It is also the home for the Catholic University of Santa Fe, inaugurated in the year 1959. The National University of the Littoral, formerly known as Provincial University has several buildings renovated from the period of colonial times and numerous museums.
The maximum temperature of the city is around 45 degree Celsius and minimum with below zero degrees Celsius. Summer seasons are generally humid and hot and winter nights are very cold. In rare cases in the summer season, the temperature increases up to 45 degree Celsius. Rainfall is not a constraint during the summer and can be expected in any season with lightening and thunderstorms.
