Tourist Guide Santa Cruz
The city of Santa Cruz is located in the eastern part of Bolivia and is the capital of the department with the same name.
The city is located on the eastern lowland plains of the country. The climate is semi-tropical and average temperatures hover around 21°C. The region experiences heavy rainfall between the months of January and February.
Santa Cruz has a population of approximately 1,500,000 people. A majority of the population has descended from the Amerindians, Mestizos and Europeans.
The city is renowned for its rich cultural heritage which is heavily influenced by its Amerindian population. It is especially known for its fine cuisine and is also one of the fashion hubs of the South American continent. The main languages that are spoken in the city are Spanish, Quechua and Aymara.
